Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Study Point collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Information

Information is used solely to operate the features you use - seat booking, attendance, fee tracking, study tracking, notices, and related library-management functions. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

3. Data Isolation

Every library's data is stored separately and is never visible to another library on the Platform. Students only see data relevant to their own account and library.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored using cloud infrastructure with access-control rules restricting who can read or write each piece of data. Login passwords are securely hashed by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) and are never stored by us in plain text. While we take reasonable steps to protect data, no online system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as the related library account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. A library admin may delete student records they manage at any time.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data associated with your account by contacting your library admin (for student/parent data) or Study Point directly (for library admin data), using the contact details on the homepage.

7. Children's Data

Many students on the Platform are minors. Libraries are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental/guardian consent before entering a minor's data, in line with our Terms & Conditions.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses third-party cloud infrastructure to store and process data. These providers are contractually and technically restricted from using your data for their own purposes.

We use Google Analytics to understand overall usage of the Platform - for example, how many people visit, and whether they use it in a browser or as an installed app. This tracks usage patterns only; it does not access your library account data (students, fees, attendance, etc.), which stays in our own database and is never shared with Google Analytics.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact

For privacy questions, use the contact details listed on the homepage.
